This series marks the beginning of a very special collaboration between us and Paris-based architect and designer Rohan Golestani. United by a shared Iranian heritage and a deep love for antique pictorial rugs, we set out to create something that honours tradition while speaking to life in the modern world. The first design idea was born in our workshop, with input from Sophie’s father - a master carpet weaver - who proposed the idea of weaving the new designs directly onto antique kilims. This approach allowed us to truly merge old and new, preserving the history of each piece while giving it a contemporary voice. The initial prototypes have now sold out, but the kilims remain available on a made-to-order basis. Please contact us for further details.
